Lifestyle Programs and Activities
Baking Club
Nothing beats the smell of freshly baked pie or cookies. This does not change as we age.
Create new experiences with others, especially if they share the same joy and passion for food as you do. The feeling of accomplishment from making great baked goods and the praises afterwards, will leave a fantastic impact.
Reminiscing and Sharing Programs
We all have parents and grandparents who love telling us stories of the good old days.
Reminiscing is all about sharing and recollecting memories, and it helps them affirm who they are. It is a stimulating activity that promotes social interaction.
Music and Sound Therapy
Music and sound are proven to help with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Studies have shown that in some cases, music can evoke strong positive emotions and a positive connection with the brain. Our music therapies may start off as passive listening, but we hope to engage the residents to be more involved so that more parts of the body are involved.
